Lionfish 5185.JPG
9 July 2013: A Lionfish (Pterois volitans) is seen on Lexau's Legacy Reef off the North Shore of Grand Cayman Island. Native to the Indo-Pacific, Lionfish have become an invasive species in the Atlantic and Caribbean. They are responsible for a growing threat to the reefs as they have no natural predators in these waters. Located in the British West Indies in the Caribbean, the Cayman Islands are renowned for excellent scuba diving, snorkeling, beaches and banking. Mandatory Credit: Ed Wolfstein Photo
